"A Cowgirl and Her Horse" is an intriguing illustrated tale of a (pig) cowgirl who takes very good care of her horse, preparing him food and water, getting him new shoes every two months, cleaning his room and making sure he writes to his mother. She even takes him for rides through the desert in her jeep, on his day off! Although it is a lot of work for one little cowgirl pig, she is repaid when her horse takes her for a ride up the mountain, down the trail, and over the rainbow. The truly original illustrations in full cartoon color have to be seen to be appreciated. All children will adore "A Cowgirl and Her Horse." Its appeal transcends age and culture. The model of the funny little compassionate, caring cowgirl pig will loom large in young minds, in a wonderful way.
