Young to Provide Madison High School Students with First-Hand Life Lessons and Inspirational Messages

CANTON, Mass. -- Tennessee Titans quarterback and Reebok athlete Vince Young returns to his hometown of Houston, Texas today to host a unique community event at his alma mater, Madison High School. Earlier this year, Young was featured in ReebokeIUs eIuWhen Did I Know?eIN advertising campaign, an execution of the brandeIUs globally acclaimed eIuI Am What I AmeIN marketing platform. At the Madison High event, Young takes his eIuWhen Did I Know?eIN message a step further by sharing with the students the precise instant he knew that taking an active role in his community would be integral in shaping him as an individual off the field.

On behalf of Young, Reebok will make product donations to the school for the varsity and junior varsity football teams and meneIUs and womeneIUs varsity basketball teams. Product donated to the teams include the Pump Down and Out Cleat, which Young is wearing on the field throughout the 2006 NFL season and Triple Impact performance apparel. Reebok and Young will also provide Madison with an Exmark Zero-Turn Mower for maintenance of its practice field as well as new bleachers and benches for the field. In addition, Reebok and Young will make aesthetic improvements to the schooleIUs weight room.

As an acknowledgement of YoungeIUs exceptional leadership skills on the field and in the community, Reebok will award two students at Madison High School who reflect ReebokeIUs brand attributes with an eIuI Am What I AmeIN college scholarship in the amount of $2,500 each. Students can obtain scholarship applications and official rules from a Madison administrator and can submit their completed entries at school or to one of three Academy Sports & Outdoors locations in the Houston area. Students who choose to submit essays to Academy will receive a gift certificate good for $10 off the purchase of Reebok footwear or apparel. As part of a raffle at the school, Academy Sports & Outdoors also donated 10 additional gift certificates to selected students.

The winners will be selected by a renowned panel including 2006 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Warren Moon, 1987 Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown, former Dallas Cowboys Vice President of Player Personnel Gil Brandt and former University of Tennessee WomeneIUs basketball All-American Nikki McCray. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 5 and will be personal guests of Young at the Tennessee Titans vs. Houston Texans game in Houston on Sunday, December 10.
