U.S. Senator Robert Bennett (R-UT) will address an event to
kick off the renovation of Provo's historic Maeser School and the
revitalization of surrounding neighborhoods. At the event, the Provo
City Center Affordable Housing Coalition will receive $1.29 million in
funding to support the renovation effort. Once restoration is
completed, the Maeser School will provide senior citizens with new
affordable housing. A financial partnership including Federal Home
Loan Bank of Seattle, Washington Mutual Inc., The Enterprise
Foundation, Provo Housing Authority, and Utah's Bank of American Fork
provided the funding to help launch the community investment.
