A&P To Close Super Fresh Warehouse.FLORENCE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 1998--The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc. has announced that it will close its Super Fresh warehouse in Florence, New Jersey. In order to more efficiently supply its stores and service customers, the company reviewed all warehouse space and operations on the East Coast. After a thorough and exhaustive analysis, it was determined that the Super Fresh warehouse in Florence will close in November after 60 days notice was given to the employees. This closing is part of the consolidation of facilities on the East Coast. The Super Fresh warehouse is a distribution site for the stores operated in southern New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware.
