:GAP) announced today that its Board of Directors elected Mitchell P. Goldstein to the position of Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer, a new position. Mr. Goldstein will be responsible for operating financial management, including accounting, treasury, risk management and investor relations, reporting to Fred Corrado, Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer.

He joins A&P from Vlasic Foods International Inc., where he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all financial management and planning functions. Mr. Goldstein was instrumental in the planning and execution of that company's spin-off from Campbell Soup Company Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) (also known as Campbell's) is a well-known American producer of canned soups and related products. Campbell's products are sold in 120 countries around the world. It is headquartered in Camden, New Jersey.  in 1998. Earlier, he held senior finance and planning roles at Campbell. Before joining Campbell, he was Vice President of Mercer Management Consulting.
