A&E Television Networks Selects Aptegrity to Manage Mission-Critical Web Applications; Leading MSP to Manage Web sites for Media Company's Growing Internet Business.

Aptegrity, Inc., the leading provider of Web application management services, has signed an agreement with A&E Television Networks to oversee the monitoring, management and optimization of the international media company's proprietary Web sites.

Rather than continue to maintain the sites internally, we made the decision to have Aptegrity monitor and manage the sites so that we can focus on what we do best - creating great content for our customers to enjoy."

AETN Interactive, a division of A&E Television Networks, develops interactive content and communities that extend AETN's core brands of history and biography. The AETN Interactive Web sites, including www.AandE.com, www.HistoryChannel.com and www.Biography.com, serve as an online companion to the AETN cable and digital networks, magazine, and catalog catalog, descriptive list, on cards or in a book, of the contents of a library. In addition, over 3,000 products are available from the AETN Interactive online store, including the entire World of A&E print catalog. A best-in-class solution for Web applications management was necessary to ensure the availability of these applications.

When Aptegrity signed onto the project in June 2000, the existing Web architecture required a migration effort that would enhance network stability and scalability. Since the migration, Aptegrity has monitored, managed and optimized the applications, which has enabled AETN Interactive to continue to maintain and grow its Web presence efficiently and effectively.
