), today announced that it has joined the Location Interoperability Forum (LIF 1. (hardware) LIF - Low Insertion Force.

The LIF was founded by Ericsson, Motorola and Nokia to advance the worldwide deployment of location-based services See mobile positioning. .

The @Road representative to the Location Interoperability Forum will be Rodric C. Fan, @Road founder and chief technology officer, who plans to work closely with LIF members to help develop and promote integration solutions designed to simplify the ability to locate mobile devices across different wireless network platforms.

Fan is a noted expert on global positioning systems, with more than 17 years of engineering experience in GPS software and hardware design.
