A DRUNK yob who climbed into an ambulance as paramedics fought to save the life of a five-year-old boy was yesterday sent to jail.

Falkirk sheriff court heard David Hunter David Hunter (July 21 1802 – February 2 1886) was a Union general in the American Civil War. He achieved fame by his unauthorized 1862 order (immediately rescinded) emancipating slaves in three Southern states and as the president of the military commission trying the , 18, had been "extremely drunk and in a good mood after receiving news of a job interview offer".

He sat down on the back step of the ambulance as the crew were treating the youngster, who had been in an accident.

Hunter, of Grangemouth, Stirlingshire, then climbed into the ambulance and began waving a letter in the child's face.

Andrea Burns, prosecuting, said the five-year-old was Libyan and could not speak English and was "very frightened fright·en

Sheriff William Gallacher told Hunter: "This was a simply disgraceful dis·grace·ful
