LOS ANGELES -- On Monday, June 19, Frank Pastore, host of 99.5 KKLA-FM's 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. issues driven talk show, "The Frank Pastore Show," will share his remarkable personal Christian testimony with a worldwide audience on "Focus on the Family." "Focus on the Family," hosted by Dr. James Dobson, is heard weekdays at 4:30 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on 99.5 KKLA-FM, the radio "intersection of faith and reason" for Southern California's Christian community.

On January 6, 2004, Frank Pastore became the afternoon drive-time host on KKLA 99.5 FM in Los Angeles. A former professional baseball player with graduate degrees in both theology and political science, Frank integrates faith and politics with the news of the day in an entertaining and stimulating style.

Pastore pitched for the Cincinnati Reds from 1979 through 1985 before ending his eight-year major-league career with the Minnesota Twins in 1986. After 27 years as what Frank describes as a "reluctant atheist," a near career-ending injury turned into a heart and mind-changing conversion. He left baseball and went to college and graduated magna cum laude from National University in 1989 with a degree in business administration, then spent the next two years with the national leadership of Athletes in Action, the sports ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. In 1994, Frank graduated summa cum laude from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University with a master's degree in philosophy of religion and ethics. In 2003, he completed his second master's degree in political philosophy and American government at Claremont Graduate School. Frank and his wife, Gina, have been married for 27 years and live in Upland, Calif. They have two adult children, Frank and Christina.
