New Sharp 19-inch color TVs will be sold for only 99 cents to the first nine customers, and scooters to the next 99 customers, at the grand opening of the newest 99 Cents Only Stores in Long Beach, Calif., on Thursday, October 17.

The next 99 customers can buy Star Wars backpacks, a $30 value, for only 99 cents. The following 999 customers can buy 3x5 foot American flags, a $25 value, for only 99 cents.

99 Cents Only Stores' 99-years-old honorary queen, Mathilda Spak, will preside over the grand opening festivities. Mathilda, a lifelong resident of Long Beach who has been featured in People Magazine for her charitable efforts, will personally unveil the new store's brand new gourmet food section!
