Symbol Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: SBL), announced a contract agreement with 99(cent) Only Stores (NYSE: NDN) to roll out high-performance bi-optic bar code scanners at the point of sale (POS) at each of its stores to increase productivity and speed customers through the checkout process.

Symbol will be delivering Magellan SL Bi-Optic scanners, which are in-counter, 360-degree bar code scanners, specifically designed for high-volume, high-throughput point-of-sale environments. Each scanner offers an enhanced optical design that provides 360-degree bar code reading access and a ruggedized housing that includes a stainless steel case and scratch resistant sapphire glass.
