This represents an increase of $6.9 million, or 19.0%, over sales of $36.3 million during the same period last year. Year-to-date sales increased $15.6 million, or 22.3%, from $69.9 million to $85.5 million for the six months ended June 30, 1996. For the year 1995, sales were $152.8 million. For the second quarter of 1996, sales in comparable 99 Cents Only Stores increased 0.35% over the same period last year.
