, singers and dancers will perform in a gospel music concert that will honor the people killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

 Gospel Feast will be held 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the gymnasium at Jackie Robinson Noun 1. Jackie Robinson - United States baseball player; first Black to play in the major leagues (1919-1972)

With the theme ``God Bless America,'' the event will include music, food and an American flag art show, organizers said. Admission is free.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of Jackie Robinson Park and the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County Department of Parks and Recreation.

Performers will include the God's Calling, a capella vocal group from Sun Village Church of God in Christ The Church of God in Christ, Incorporated is the nation's largest Pentecostal and African-American Christian denomination. [1] History
The Church of God in Christ, commonly referred to by its acronym, COGIC
 and vocalists Teresa Skinner of Sommerhaven Ranch, Rebekkah Andrade, Barbara McNairy and Al Ewing. Pianist Dorothy Cage will perform a medly of old-time gospel music. Also performing will be dancer Connie Toohy.

Ewing and his 14-year-old son Alexander will display 30 depictions of American flags created from ``found objects'' -- popcorn, beans, socks and other objects -- in an art show called ``My American flag.''

Masters of ceremony will be Lynda and Bob Hemenway.

Barbecue food will be served, with varying prices, organizers said.

Signers or praise dance groups that want to perform at the program can sign up by 4 p.m. Wednesday by calling recreation services supervisors Peg Lee or Karen Wilson at (661) 944-2880.
