8TH OFFICIAL FREE IN IRAN.


THE eighth of nine British embassy staff held by Iranian authorities is free, it was claimed yesterday.

Foreign secretary David Miliband said all efforts were now on securing the release of the last man in custody, the embassy's chief political analyst.

 the embassy staff just over a week ago, accusing them of generating unrest after the controversial presidential elections.

All are Iranian nationals. Seven were freed last Monday. The Foreign Ministry confirmed Tehran had told them the employee had been released but contact had not yet been made.
