80 TEACHERS TO GET LAYOFF NOTICES GLENDALE DISTRICT WARNS OF POTENTIAL JOB CUTS.

GLENDALE - About 80 teachers - more than 5 percent of those on staff in the Glendale Unified School District The Glendale Unified School District is a school district based in Glendale, California, United States.

The school district serves the city of Glendale, portions of the city of La Cañada and the unincorporated communities of Montrose and La Crescenta.

Specific programs on Burbank's chopping block will be announced Thursday.

The Glendale Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the district headquarters, 223 N. Jackson St., Glendale.

The Burbank Board of Education will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. City Hall, 275 E. Olive St., Burbank.
