8-YEAR-OLD HONORED FOR HELPING SAVE DAD.Byline: KAREN MAESHIRO Staff Writer LITTLEROCK -- An 8-year-old Littlerock boy was honored Monday for helping to save his father's life by calling 911 and getting help. The Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD), serves unincorporated parts of Los Angeles County, as well as 58 cities and towns that choose to have the county provide fire and EMS services, including the City of La , Adam Geiger was honored by the 911 for Kids program, based in Orange County. Four times in 2006, Adam called 911 dispatchers when his father, Robert Geiger, who has diabetes, experienced seizures. ``I feel really great because I saved my dad's life,'' said Adam, a student at Alpine Elementary School elementary school: see school. .
