8 SEEKING OAK PARK BOARD SEAT.Byline: Sonia Giordani Daily News Staff Writer Eight people have submitted applications to fill a seat on the Oak Park school board that was vacated by the resignation last month of President Jeri Fox. The eight applicants were scheduled to be screened Tuesday night by board members, and semifinalists will be invited to participate in a public forum at 7 p.m. Thursday at Oak Park High School. A final decision will be announced by Monday and the new board member will be sworn in at Tuesday's meeting. ``All of the applicants have had experience with the school district and with their children's schools,'' said Marilyn Lippiatt, superintendent of the Oak Park Unified School District Oak Park Unified School District (OPUSD) is a K-12 school district in southeast Ventura County, California, USA. Candidates were asked to complete an application form, submit a current resume including experiences with Oak Park schools and with the community, provide a 200-word candidate statement and respond to eight questions. Over the past four weeks, 15 people picked up applications.
