The chain-reaction crash in the northbound lanes near San Fernando Road San Fernando Road is a major street in the city and county of Los Angeles. It was Nobleza who inexplicably veered across two lanes of the freeway at 5:25 a.m., hitting the center barrier and setting off the series of collisions, Sweeney said. Investigators noted that Nobleza lost control of his car on a downhill stretch of freeway, coming out of a curve.
