788 IC Filtration Processor from Metrohm.

Metrohm, experts in Ion analysis have developed the 788 IC Filtration Processor. It is a powerful sample changer with a built-in ultra-filtration cell, that integrates membrane filtration as a sample preparation step directly into your automated IC system.

The samples are placed directly onto the turntable and are then processed automatically by the IC Filtration Sample Processor. The sample solution to be filtered passes through a membrane. At the same time the filtrate is aspirated off from the rear of this membrane, transferred to the sample injection valve of the ion chromatograph and then injected.

Ultrafiltration using the 788 IC Filtration Processor is more suitable for light to medium-loaded samples such as drinking water, surface water, extracts and digestion solutions. Unloaded samples can be injected directly with the same sample changer. With strongly loaded samples such as fruit juice containing fruit pulp, in-line sample dialysis with Metrohm's 754 Dialysis Unit is more recommended.

The 788 IC Filtration Processor can be used as master or slave in a PC-controlled IC system. The sample rack offers places for 127 by 11ml sample vessels. Two other rinsing positions ensure carry-over-free sample application even with very different sample matrices.
