for eight-weeks, and in turn the program will provide employment opportunities throughout Dallas County for 75 college students.

Celebrating the program's 14th year in Dallas, the ExxonMobil Community Summer Jobs Program continues to promote the importance of the work done within the nonprofit sector to the next generation of leaders by providing internships opportunities with a variety of nonprofit organizations Nonprofit Organization

. The program enables students to spend their summer receiving hands-on work experience as they learn the value and high demands of community service and social responsibility. Nonprofit agencies also benefit from the program, by receiving highly qualified and talented college interns to assist with the heavy work load and traditionally low staffing associated with the busy summer months. ExxonMobil will provide grants totaling more than $182,000 for interns' salaries and Volunteer Center expenses.

"The ExxonMobil Community Summer Jobs Program is a unique initiative that not only provides 75 college students with a salary for the summer, but also gives the interns an unmatched opportunity to learn first hand the true value of real-life work experience to prepare them for today's highly competitive workforce," said Ken Cohen cohen

"This program benefits all involved, enriching students with a learning foundation and affording budget conscious nonprofits organizations with much needed support from the bright and talented minds of the next generation of community leaders."

The Volunteer Center of Dallas County will provide training to agencies on the recruiting, interviewing and selection process, as well as assistance in organizing and managing the summer internships. The interns are selected by the participating agencies, and must be full-time college students. In addition to regular job responsibilities, interns are required to attend seminars structured to give the interns broader exposure to the nonprofit sector, community needs and volunteerism vol·un·teer·ism
