) announced today that The NASDAQ Stock Market Nasdaq stock market

The first electronic stock market listing over 5000 companies. The Nasdaq stock market comprises two separate markets, namely the Nasdaq National Market, which trades large, active securities and the Nasdaq Smallcap Market that trades emerging growth companies.
 has approved the company's application to transfer to The NASDAQ SmallCap Market.

724 Solutions common shares will begin trading on The NASDAQ SmallCap Market on September 18, 2002, and the stock symbol will continue to be SVNX. The company's common shares will also continue to trade on The Toronto Stock Exchange Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE)

As previously announced, 724 Solutions had applied to transfer to The NASDAQ SmallCap Market after it was notified that it no longer met NASDAQ's minimum bid price requirement of $1 per share.
