7-Eleven, Inc. Selects DETERMINE Software to Deploy Enterprise-Wide Contract Management Solution.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Leading Enterprise Contract Management Solutions Provider Delivers a Key Component in 7-Elevens's Broader Strategic Procurement Initiative

DETERMINE Software, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise software for managing contractual relationships, today announced that 7-Eleven, Inc. has chosen DETERMINE as the foundation for an enterprise-wide contract management rollout. As part of 7-Eleven's broader strategic procurement initiative, the solution is targeted at streamlining request-to-pay processes, while at the same time improving the overall compliance and performance across their trading-partner network. The solution will focus on helping to manage a wide array of contract types including indirect materials, capital equipment, repair and maintenance and others.

7-Eleven is the world's largest chain in the convenience retailing industry. The company operates or franchises approximately 5,800 7-Eleven stores in the United States and Canada and licenses more than 21,000 7-Eleven stores in 17 other countries and U.S. territories throughout the world. During 2003, 7-Eleven stores worldwide generated total sales of more than $36 billion.

"We selected the DETERMINE solution because it is adaptable for a wide array of contracts and processes," said Denis Wojcik, 7-Eleven's information systems manager for contracts and finance. "Because contracts in our organization are distributed across multiple disciplines, the DETERMINE solution will allow us to more uniformly standardize our contract information, processes and standards throughout the company."

For today's strategic procurement organization, the DETERMINE solution provides a critical link in the end-to-end procurement process, providing an effective means of ensuring that the cost and performance levels negotiated during the sourcing process are actually met throughout the life of the relationship. The solution is designed to integrate to and extend existing backend ERP, sourcing and eProcurement solutions.

After performing a thorough review of available contract-management solutions, 7-Eleven chose DETERMINE for its workflow and user interface characteristics. Additionally, the compatibility of DETERMINE's software platform with Microsoft Word-based contract writing and the ability for rapid deployment were also considered. The DETERMINE solution will be deployed behind-the-firewall in a HP-UX environment.

"As 7-Eleven's business expands, leveraging corporate-wide visibility with their partner relationships will be key to their continued growth," said Richard Kreysar, president and CEO of DETERMINE Software. "We plan to work closely with 7-Eleven to execute ongoing contract management best practices."
