A member of the house of Brandenburg, he became (1514) Archbishop of Mainz. and Flo Studholme say the secret to 65 happily married years is a good daily row. Flo, 85, met Albert in a shop. She said: "He smiled and I still get that same feeling now. It was love at first sight." The pair wed in 1942 and were only parted by Albert's war service. The couple, from Wigton in Cumbria, celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary today with their family, including 12 great-grandchildren. Albert said their secret is: "An argument a day keeps the doctor away." |
