Quarterback Nick Czernek, who eclipsed 200 yards passing for the fourth straight time, helped the Panthers put the game away in the first half.

His 10-yard touchdown run in the second quarter broke a 7-7 tie. Later in the quarter, he connected with senior wide receiver Paul Sanford on a 20-yard touchdown to make it 21-7.

``We had guys open tonight,'' said Czernek (14 of 24 for 206 yards, one touchdown and one interception). ``My line gave me a lot of time to throw.''

Senior James Bailey set a school record when he returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to put the Panthers up 28-7.

``This is my senior year, I wanted to step it up,'' said Bailey, who has returned two kickoffs for touchdowns this year. The first one against Oxnard tied the previous school record of 98 yards.
