Article marketing has become one of my favorite pass times for getting traffic to my site. What I love about article marketing is, you don''t have to be the best writer in order to get traffic. In fact, if you can read and write at a basic level, then you can write articles for article directories. You will be basically getting traffic to your site from the link in your articles. Writing articles for the web is my favorite pass time, and the results show. For about 3-4 hours of work, I get paid $100-$200 a day. Here are six easy steps to more effective article marketing:

Write your own articles- I know how tempting it can be to outsource the article writing process. Trust me, I have been there. It can get boring writing articles everyday about the same topic, or even researching articles can be a true headache. The key is to get quick and easy (fast traffic). Writing your own articles will assure you can get the best results in the least amount of time because they are original and talk about a topic relating to the product or service you are trying to sell.

Pick the right directories- Picking the right directories is very important to determine your success in the online world. See, if you choose the wrong directory, then you will either not get enough page rank, or your article will never get published. Only stick with the best. Most of the best article directories have a short wait time for your articles to be published.

Be consistent- You don''t want to fall behind on your article writing process because this is what makes you money. If you do, then that is just enough room for someone else to take your spot in the search engine rankings. Don''t let this happen to you.

Use all of your link space- Some people don''t know that you can add up to 2-3 links in the article and/or resource box. You should add at least 3-4 links to different websites in order to get the most out of your articles without having to write so many.

Write in volume- yes, you should participate in writing articles that are informative. But, it is all about the number of backlands you can gain from each article. The more you have, (I usually write about 20 articles in one sitting and then blast it to multiple websites.)
