6,000 NEW JOBS FOR CITY REGION.Byline: ALEX TURNER MORE than 6,000 jobs will be created across Liverpool Liverpool, city (1991 pop. 448,300), NW England, on the Mersey River near its mouth. "These are not places on a training programme but quality jobs with valuable training and development attached."
