The evolution continues ...

This is the fifth time this conference has been held, and each time the conference exceeds the expectations of attendees and organizers alike in terms of providing the perfect forum to meet and listen to key leaders in our industry.

The theme for this conference is Reinventing the Industry: Opportunities and Challenges. Our industry is undergoing significant change, driven by changing consumer needs and expectations, new and changing technologies, e-commerce, industry consolidation, and reorganization. This conference will examine how the many facets of our industry are being influenced by these drivers, and will explore what we can expect in the future. This conference is being designed to help all of us recognize and embrace the changes that will be occurring in our industry.

Please join us in beautiful Montreux for what will be one of the most influential conferences for the industry.

The Exhibition

This three-day exhibition of equipment, supplies, and services to the detergent industry will be an integral part of the conference. Daily morning and afternoon refreshment breaks and an informal evening cocktail reception on Monday will be held in the exhibit hall. Delegates will also have ample time over the lunch hour to visit the exhibition.

Luncheon Cruise 15.00-17.15, 15 October 2002

All conference registrants are invited to relax and enjoy this spectacular lunch cruise to Evian, France. While at sea, attendees will receive a delicious three course lunch and will be entertained by a jazz band. This event is included in the fee for registered delegates. Guests may purchase tickets for this event. Cost: U.S.$95.

Optional Event: Gala Reception/Banquet 19.00-23.00, 16 October 2002, Montreux Palace

Come and enjoy a night of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a remarkable five course dinner at this semi-formal event, complete with an orchestra with a singer to entertain throughout the evening. This is an optional event for all attendees. Cost: U.S.$110.

Monday, 14 October 2002 Tour 1 : Glacier glacier, moving mass of ice that survives year to year, formed by the compacting of snow into névé and then into granular ice and set in motion outward and downward by the force of gravity and the stress of its accumulated mass.  des Diablerets 10.00-16.00

Drive along the Rhone Valley as far as Aigle, where the bus starts the steep climb up into the Alpes Vaudoises. Through small alpine villages and past old chalets, you will reach the village of Les Diablerets, or little devils. A cable car will take you up in 30 minutes to the glacier of Le Diablerets (9000 ft), a breathtaking panorama of the highest summits in the Alps. Here, the Swiss Ski Team trains in summer--in winter, skiing in majestic surroundings. After this unforgettable stop, you will continue on to the very well known jet-set summer and winter resort of Gstadd, lined with typical old and new Bernese chalets, where you will have lunch. Cost: U.S.$85.

Monday, 14 October 2002 Tour 2: Lausanne/Olympic Museum 10.00-16.00

This tour into Lausanne includes visits to the old town dominated by the magnificent 13th century Gothic Century Gothic is a geometric sans-serif typeface designed for Monotype Imaging in 1991. Thursday, 17 October 2002 Tour 4: Taste of Italy 9.00-16.00

Leaving Montreux, the coach will take you through part of the Rhone Valley to Martigny, the first town north of the Alps. Here, you will leave the plain as the road winds its way tip to the Great St. Bernard St. Bernard

a very large (110-200 lb) dog with massive, broad head, medium-sized ears lying close to the head, and a long tail. There are two varieties, the most familiar (rough) has a long, thick coat, while the smooth variety has a shorter coat, lying close to the body.
 Tunnel where you cross the border into Italy. Driving down the other side of the pass, through the typical old Italian villages with views of the Alps all around, you reach the town of Aosta, the first town south of the Alps, where you can visit the famous Roman ruins. After a few hours of shopping in this quaint Italian town, enjoy a pasta lunch and some Italian wine Italy is one of the oldest wine regions in the world. Etruscans and Greek settlers produced wine in the country long before the Romans started developing their own vineyards in the second century BC. . Passports are required for this tour. Cost: U.S.$65.
