Corporation is pleased to announce that the upcoming 5(th) International Microwaves in Chemistry Conference, which will take place April 18-20, 2007 at Imperial College in London, has pre-registered the largest number of attendees to date. The conference is running well ahead of last year's attendance and organizers expect the 2007 conference to be the largest to date. The International Microwaves in Chemistry Conference is the premiere symposium for the discussion of the latest research using microwave technology in various fields of chemistry. The conference brings together chemists and researchers from both industry and academia in an open forum to discuss the latest advances in microwave-assisted chemistry. This year's conference features 21 speakers from the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. , Europe and India presenting research on the broadest range of topics ever discussed at this annual symposium, with particular concentration on new bioscience applications. Presentations are scheduled in three tracks: medicinal chemistry Medicinal or pharmaceutical chemistry is a scientific discipline at the intersection of chemistry and pharmacology involved with designing, synthesizing and developing pharmaceutical drugs. , biosciences, and emerging applications.

The 2007 conference is especially pleased to welcome Keynote Speaker Professor Steven V. Ley Steven V. Ley is the BP (1702) Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, and is a Fellow of Trinity College. His research fields are total synthesis of biomolecules with examples including indanamycin, routiennocin, avermectin B1a, okadaic acid, spongistatin, , CBE CBE Commander of the Order of the British Empire (a Brit. title)
