59000 IDPs families getting relief facilities in Tank camp: Ahmad.TANK, January 10, 2010 (Balochistan Times ): All out efforts were being on to facilitate over 59,000 tribal families of South Waziristan Agency under auspices Special Sports Group (SSG SSG abbr. staff sergeant ) and 28,321 affected families were getting ATM card facility as well. This was stated by Major Ahmad, a senior official of SSG while briefing media-men during their visit to the camp here Sunday. Major Ahmad said that so far 59,416 families have migrated from South Waziristan owing to military operation (Rah-i-Nijat) against militants and terrorists. In term of relief activities, Major Ahmad informed that with the collaboration of non-governmental organization including FIDA and some other reputed agencies UNHCR UNHCR n abbr (= United Nations High Commission for Refugees) → ACNUR m UNHCR n abbr (= United Nations High Commission for Refugees) → HCR m and World Food Organization (WFO) were assisting in distribution of food and non-food relief items to registered IDPs. The distribution process, he said, was being made possible through verified date-base information provided by NADRA NADRA National Database and Registration Authority (Pakistan) NADRA North American Deck and Railing Association NADRA National Agricultural Pesticide Risk Analysis . To a query, he informed that tribesmen certainly suffered in obtaining and drawing through use of ATM cards. However, adding certain complaints by the aggrieved tribesmen was being removed with appropriate guideline. While referring to Medicare services, Major Ahmad informed that so far 31,747 patients had been treated in Army field as well as light field hospitals established in Dera Ismail Khan Dera Ismail Khan (dā`rə ĭsmīl` khän), town (1981 pop. 64,358), N central Pakistan, c.1 mi (1.6 km) on the western bank of the Indus River. and Tank for displaced tribal families. In term of rehabilitation matters, Major Ahmad said that Pakistan Army whole heartedly helped affected people to stand on their own feet and provide them all basic amenities of life. He informed that 23,160 youth had been registered for skill training facility in Tank and Dera Ismail Khan centres for different courses, like masonry, plumber, electrician, sewing and embroidery, adding which apart from overcoming unemployment, would held the region in term of rehabilitations matters of the area.
