56th Annual NDTA Transportation and Logistics Forum and Exposition Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

I am most pleased to invite you and yours to our 56th Annual Transportation and Logistics Forum and Exposition in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a city of many pleasant surprises.

This year's theme acknowledges many prototype programs introduced in the past several years that will be implemented during this millennium. There is also recognition that freight and passenger volumes have outstripped the capacity of our infrastructure. The Military Services are developing doctrine to deploy their forces to a theater of operations Noun 1. theater of operations - a region in which active military operations are in progress; "the army was in the field awaiting action"; "he served in the Vietnam theater for three years"
field of operations, theatre of operations, theater, theatre, field
 in greatly decreased time frames.

This year's program will feature government and industry representatives who will not only articulate problems but are also capable of describing the necessary solutions. There will be two periods: (I) "Service Improvement Challenges and Solutions," and (II) "Next Generation Deployment Enablers and Platforms." Period I will consist of three modal sessions. Period II will have one session, Next Generation Deployment Enablers and Platforms, of two hours and consist of senior representatives of companies who are developing these platforms. All will be interactive sessions so we need your participation.

There are many things to see and do in Milwaukee, and I believe we have arranged a number of events that will fall into this category. Not as many breweries as you would expect, but a lot of positive culture and interesting architecture.

Several of our speakers are already confirmed. Mr. Fred Smith, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
