The 54th International Northwestern Conference on Diseases in Nature Communicable to Man at Utah State University Utah State University, mainly at Logan; coeducational; land-grant and state supported; chartered 1888, opened 1890. It publishes Utah Science, Western Historical Quarterly, and Western American Literary Journal. , Logan, UT, is scheduled for August 15-18, 1999. Call for abstracts in the following general categories are proposed, but may be modified: viral zoonoses Zoonoses

Infections of humans caused by the transmission of disease agents that naturally live in animals. People become infected when they unwittingly intrude into the life cycle of the disease agent and become unnatural hosts.
, bacterial zoonoses, water and foodborne infections, vector-borne diseases, and curiosa cu·ri·o·sa

Books or other writings dealing with unusual, especially pornographic, topics.
