507,279 AND RISING; Sunday Mail puts on 11,000 sales after a month of brilliant scoops.

SUNDAY Mail sales smashed through the half-million mark last month thanks to a blistering series of front-page exclusives that had everyone talking.

Our national figure in April was a healthy 507,279 - more than 11,000 up on the previous month.

We've invested millions in new presses at our Scottish HQ to give you more colour, more pages and more extras such as our eco posters for schools and Scottish Slimmers mags.

In Scotland alone we sold 468,459 - up by 3000 - reinforcing us as the nation's biggest-selling newspaper.

Our sale was more than ALL the Sunday broadsheets put together.

In Scotland, the News of the World lost 3500 to slip to 291,574 and the Mail on Sunday finished on 120,472.

But we're not resting on our laurels.

Next week, we kick off a great series of glossy fold-out guides to celebrate the best of Scotland. Pick up a FREE touring map of Scotland with Pete Irvine's guide to our hidden treasures.

More stories and more value... that's why we're Scotland's No.1.
