Enameling is a technique traditionally used in jewelry and ornaments, but recently artists have applied the fusion of glass and metal to a range of media. Here American artist and teacher Sarah Perkins (art, Southwest Missouri State U.-Springfield) has collected color photographs, mostly by the artists themselves, of some innovative pieces. The art tends to be abstract or suggestive rather than representational. Comments by the artist are sometimes included.
