50-fil Surcharge on Sharjah Bus ,C?Fares from Oct 11.


Summary: SHARJAH u Passengers of Sharjah buses will have to pay 50 fils more for each trip from this Sunday. This will be a surcharge.

"The new affordable tariff shall only be applicable against cash payment," he said. Electronic payment will become effective by the end of the year.

"A special discount will be offered (then). Passengers will then pay only an average of Dh3.5 per ticket. Commuters with special needs are expected to pay only Dh3 per trip," he said.

"Further reductions, including monthly subscription for school students and other segments of the society, are being planned for the future."
