IT looks like good fun but 10 students were taken to hospital yesterday after this traditional May Day bridge jump went wrong.

More than 100 drunken revellers jumped 25ft from Magdalen Bridge in Oxford but the river below was only three feet deep.

Fifty people needed medical treatment. Some had broken legs and ankles and chest injuries. They ignored safety warnings and climbed a 6ft barrier on the bridge.

Finnish student Outi Simula A simulation language originating in the late 1960s that was used to model the behavior of complex systems. SIMULA was the original object-oriented language.
