Sen. Vicki Walker Vicki Walker (Born on May 29, 1956 in Monroe, Washington) is a politician from the U.S. state of Oregon and a member of the Democratic Party. She has been elected to political office in both houses of the Oregon Legislature.  and Reps. Phil Barnhart, Chris Edwards Chris Edwards may refer to one of the following persons:
  • Chris Edwards (skater), California-based inline skater
  • Chris Edwards (musician), (born 1981), bassist for Kasabian
  • Chris Edwards (Oregon politician), Oregon State House, District 14 Representative
and Nancy Nathanson - all of Eugene - will join Beyer on Thursday for a grand opening celebration at their new office at 1126 Gateway Loop, Suite 128.

Edwards said the five Democrats agreed that setting up a joint office in north Springfield North Springfield is the name of the following cities in the United States of America:
  • North Springfield, Missouri
  • North Springfield, Oregon
  • North Springfield, Vermont, village in Springfield, Vermont
  • North Springfield, Virginia
made sense, from both a practical and a fiscal standpoint.

"By doing this, we've cut our staffing needs and lowered office costs," Edwards said. "It's a central location that should also improve service for our constituents."

Edwards, who was elected to the state House in 2006 and represents a district that includes west Eugene, Junction City Junction City, city (1990 pop. 20,604), seat of Geary co., NE Kans., at the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers; inc. 1859. The rail, trade, and processing center of an agricultural and dairy area, it grew as the supply point for nearby Fort Riley,  and Cheshire, said he was surprised to learn that most Oregon lawmakers hire full-time assistants and work out of their homes.

"Every legislator LEGISLATOR. One who makes laws.

needs a staffer, but probably not everyone needs a full-time staffer," he said.

Three legislative aides will work out of the Springfield office.

Edwards said he knows of no other state legislators who share work space.

"I was shocked to find that nobody else was doing this" in larger metropolitan areas such as Salem and Portland, Edwards said.

"I think it's a good example of not doing things the way they've always been done," he said.

Edwards said he and the other four Lane County lawmakers will each pay $125 per month to rent the 600-square-foot office.

Edwards admitted that ideally his district office would be in west Eugene, where most of his constituents live.

But he and the other Eugene-based legislators who will occupy the Springfield office agreed that the Gateway location was convenient for them and their constituents, partly because of its proximity to I-5 and Belt Line Road.
