-- The June issue of Guideposts Guideposts is a Christian-faith based non-profit organization founded in 1945 by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and his wife, Ruth Stafford Peale. The Guideposts organization is headquartered in Carmel, New York, with additional offices in New York City, Chesterton, Indiana, and Pawling,  magazine features a cover story by leading fashion model, Emme, sharing her tried-and-true lessons for building self-confidence. Being a full-figured woman in the rejection-prone modeling business threw some big challenges her way. Today, Emme is very happy and comfortable in her own skin, but confesses it wasn't always that way. The most important realization, she says, is that self-confidence is like a muscle: you can develop, exercise, strengthen and improve it. Then you'll possess the assurance to live the full life everyone deserves. It made all the difference in Emme achieving her dreams.

In addition to Emme's cover story, Guideposts June issue announces the winners and features stories from this year's annual Young Writers Contest, one of the largest student writing competitions in America. Again this year, Guideposts awarded over $35,000 in scholarships to 20 winners, runners-up, and honorable mentions from over 10,000 entries from high school age students around the country. The 2005 1st prize went to Daniel Daily from Colorado for his story: The Paws of Aslan. The Young Writers Contest has been a part of Guideposts since 1964.
