By Flemensfirth, this five-year-old looks well worth watching, whether he goes back for a bumper or continues to campaign over hurdles.

BEAU MICHAEL Prolific winner over hurdles as a juvenile for Adrian McGuinness before finding the going a bit tougher against older rivals.

Made a bright start to his chasing career at Punchestown, when thrown in at the deep end in the Grade 2 won by the exciting Sizing Europe.

Made the early running, lost his place but plugged on again late to finish third, beaten less than nine lengths. Only a five-year-old, should be capable of paying his way in this new sphere of activity.

The county town is Dundalk, which is also the largest town in Louth.
