The five were arrested after police received two 911 calls from an apartment in the 120 block of Sinclair Avenue just before 11:30 p.m. Monday. The second call indicated a man was being ``tortured with a knife by gang members in his house,'' Glendale police Sgt. Rick Young said.

Officials said the victim, Steve Song, 21, suffered a fractured skull when he was beaten with an assault weapon that was later found in a toilet tank in his bathroom. A woman living in the apartment, Janet Choi, 25, was unhurt.
