5 SC Judges, 18 HC Judges restored.


Islamabad, 04 June, 2009 (Frontier Star) -- President Asif Ali Zardari Asif Ali Zardari (Urdu: آصف علی زرداری) (Sindhi:آصف علي زرداري) (born July 21, 1956) is the chief of the Zardari tribe and the  today on the advice of the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Justice (Retd) Jawad S. Khawaja as Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan The Supreme Court (Urdu: عدالت عظمیٰ ) is the apex court in Pakistan's judicial hierarchy, the final arbiter of legal and constitutional disputes. The Court's permanent seat is Islamabad. . The President also approved the restoration of the re-appointed 5 Judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and 18 Judges of the High Courts to the position they were holding immediately before 3rd November, 2007. The President also approved grant of seniority to Mr. Justice Ghulam Rabbani, Judge, Supreme Court of Pakistan, w.e.f. 14th the September, 2006, on the basis of his previous service as ad-hoc Judge of Supreme Court. Mr. Justice Ghulam Rabbani will also be entitled to pensionery benefits. Spokesperson of the President former Senator Farhatullah Babar has said that all these judicial appointments and grant of seniority have been made on the recommendations of Chief Justice of Pakistan The Chief Justice of Pakistan heads the Supreme Court of Pakistan. These are the names of the Chief Justices of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (known as the Federal Court until 1960). . He said that on the advice of the Prime Minister the President today also approved the appointment of Justice (Retd) Abdul Ghani Shaikh as Chairman, Federal Service Tribunal. He said that the re-appointed Judges restored to pre-3rd November, 2007, position include 5 Judges of the Supreme Court, 4 Judges of Lahore High Court The Lahore High Court is based in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Lahore High Court was established on March 21, 1919. The Lahore High Court has such jurisdiction as is conferred on them by the Constitution or by law (Art. 175(2) of the 1973 Constitution). , 11 Judges of High Court of Sindh At the time of establishment of the High Court of West Pakistan the number of the Judges of the Karachi Bench was almost the same but subsequently it was increased to 15 and on separation of Sindh & Baluchistan High Courts 12 Judges were allocated to the Sindh High Court and 3 Judges to  and 3 Judges of the Peshawar High Court The Peshawar High Court is the highest judicial institution of the North-West Frontier Province. The Lahore High Court Judges are Mr. Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Mr. Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Mr. Justice Sh. Azmat Saeed, Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial. The 11 Judges/Additional Judges of High Court of Sindh so restored are Mr. Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Mr. Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Mr. Justice Amir Hani Muslim, Mr. Justice Faisal Arab, Mr. Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, Mr. Justice Zafar Ahmad Khan Sherwani Sherwani (Urdu: شیروانی, Hindi: शेरवानी) is a long coat-like garment worn in South Asia, very similar to an Achkan or doublet.  (Additional Judge), Mr. Justice Salman Ansari (Additional Judge), Mr. Justice Abdul Rasheed Kalwar (Additional Judge), Mr. Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany, Mr. Justice Gulzar Ahmad, Mr. Justice Muhammad Athar Saeed. The 3 Peshawar High Court Judges are Mr. Justice Tariq Parvez Khan, Mr. Justice Shah Jehan Khan and Mr. Justice Dost Muhammad Khan.
