5 BANDITS HOLD UP BANK, INJURE 2.

Five armed bandits held up a California National Bank branch on Ventura Boulevard Ventura Boulevard is one of the primary east-west thouroughfares in the San Fernando Valley; as it was originally a part of the El Camino Real (the trail between Spanish missions), Ventura Boulevard is the oldest route in the San Fernando Valley. It was also U.S.  on Thursday, causing injuries to two employees and getting away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The masked robbers entered the bank in the 14400 block of Ventura about 1 p.m. and ordered everyone to the ground, said Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  police Lt. ``They go ahead and take some money,'' Velez said. ``During the robbery, two of the employees sustained injuries as a result of some sort of physical contact. I couldn't tell you if they were punched, kicked or slapped. They were minor injuries and no one was hospitalized.''

The suspects were last seen running from the bank. Police had no description of the suspects because of the masks.
