5) Australia's Archbishop Barry Hickey/Cardinal George Pell.


Archbishop Barry Hickey Barry James Hickey (OAM) (born 16 April 1936 in Leonora, Western Australia) is the current Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church archdiocese of Perth, Western Australia.

Hickey was ordained as a priest in Rome by Paolo Cardinal Giobbe on 20 December 1958.

A similar threat was issued against Cardinal George Pell of Sydney when he, too, opposed embryonic stem cell Embryonic stem cells (ES cells) are stem cells derived from the inner cell mass of an early stage embryo known as a blastocyst. Human embryos reach the blastocyst stage 4-5 days post fertilization, at which time they consist of 50-150 cells.

ES cells are pluripotent.
 cloning. The Cardinal dismissed the threat of a parliamentary inquiry instigated by a member of the Green Party as a "clumsy attempt" to curb free speech with a "whiff of Stalinism" (LifeSiteNews, June 18, 2007).
