"We are very pleased to welcome back our fourth weekly Boeing 777 flight and provide additional transpacific `lift' between China and America," said Mr. Wei Jia Liao, General Manager, North America, China Southern Airlines.

Liao explained that since the terrorist attacks last September and the reduction of flight services from four to three flights, China Southern Airlines has seen a significant increase in traffic and passenger loads. "Our research has found that passengers traveling on this important transpacific corridor -- especially originating passengers from America -- are seeking a destination, like China, that is safe and freely open to travelers to any destination we serve. Safety is a very important issue to our customers and China is perceived as just that type of destination for business and leisure traffic."

Liao also coupled China's strong anti-terrorism stance and partnership with the United States, the PRC's recent membership into the World Trade Organization and the selection to host the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games The Summer Olympic Games or the Games of the Olympiad are an international multi-sport event held every four years, organised by the International Olympic Committee.  as numerous forces driving business traffic into the transpac market for China Southern Airlines.
