4th ISMI Symposium Set Oct. 24-25 in Austin; Focus is `Productivity in Depth'.


AUSTIN, Texas -- The 4th ISMI ISMI Institute for the Study of Modern Israel (Emory University)
ISMI International Student Mobility Initiative
 Symposium on Manufacturing Effectiveness, a results-driven gathering of the world's top microchip makers and their suppliers, will be held Oct. 24-25 in Austin with a theme of "Productivity in Depth."

This year's Symposium, sponsored by International SEMATECH SEMATECH Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology  Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI), will offer actionable data on front-line issues affecting chip factories and their management teams. Included will be presentations on fab and equipment productivity, yield and metrology, environmental design, simulation and modeling, and other critical areas, plus supplier exhibits and poster sessions A poster session is the juried presentation of research information by representatives of several research teams at a congress or conference with an academic or professional focus. These are particularly prominent at scientific conferences such as medical congresses. . A day of tutorials and workshops also is planned on Oct. 23.
