Brown missed a 47-yard attempt in overtime and Lumberjacks kicker Ryan Rossner connected on a 32-yarder to win the game. Brown made just 2 of 5 field goals.

The Matadors (0-2) led 27-6 after quarterback Marcus Brady connected with D.J. Hackett for a 37-yard touchdown. The Lumberjacks (1-2) tied the game in the fourth quarter on a Felton Johnson 3-yard touchdown run with 3:03 left. Felton ran for two fourth-quarter touchdowns.

CSUN receiver Anthony Ramos had eight catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns, including a 74-yarder. Quarterback Marcus Brady completed 26 of 48 passes for 415 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

The Matadors' running game, which netted just 4 yards in the season opener against Northern Arizona, had 131 yards. Brady led the team in rushing with 65 yards on seven carries.

CSUN suffered a slew of injuries since its season opener and played without six starters. The Matadors last started the year 0-2 in 1997 under Jim Fenwick.
