4Kids Entertainment Promotes Rosalind C. Nowicki to Executive Vice President, Marketing and Licensing.

Licensing Executive Elevated to Oversee Company's Global Marketing and Licensing Business

NEW YORK -- 4Kids Entertainment, (NYSE: KDE), a global provider of children's entertainment and merchandise licensing, has promoted Rosalind C. Nowicki from Senior Vice President to Executive Vice President of Marketing and Licensing. A six-year employee of the Company, Nowicki will now head the marketing and licensing division of 4Kids Entertainment, Inc., whose key brands include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Cabbage Patch Kids, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, and Microsoft's Viva Pinata.

With over 20 years of licensing experience, Nowicki's strategic guidance as well as marketing and licensing expertise will be a tremendous asset to the management of 4Kids' extensive property portfolio, which also boasts Jim Henson Designs, Monster Jam, Artlist's The Dog / The Cat, the American Kennel Club and the Cat Fanciers' Association. In addition, Nowicki will continue to helm the strategic partnership between Microsoft and 4Kids and the companies' collaboration on the Viva Pinata and Xbox brands. As Executive Vice President, Nowicki will work alongside newly-promoted Carlin West, Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Development, who will spearhead the brand development of the company's newest franchise -- Chaotic.

Nowicki joined 4Kids in 2001 as Vice President of Marketing, with responsibilities that included management of the Yu-Gi-Oh! property globally outside of Asia. Under her direction, Yu-Gi-Oh! became one of the most successful licensed properties of all time with a trading card game, TV series, a feature film, major promotional partnerships and hundreds of licensees worldwide. The Yu-Gi-Oh! property continues to be a key revenue generator for the company.

Prior to joining 4Kids, Nowicki was Vice President of Softlines Licensing for Universal Studios. In her six years at Universal, Nowicki executed licensing programs for such properties as Jurassic Park 2, Jurassic Park 3, and Curious George. Her 20-year career in the licensing business also includes key marketing and licensing positions at Guess? as Director of Worldwide Licensing and The Walt Disney Company as Manager of Film and Television Apparel Licensing. Nowicki began her career in retail as a buyer and product development manager.

Nowicki holds a Bachelors degree in Political Science from San Diego State University.
