Mr. Block is Chairman of the Consumer Packaging Group of MeadWestvaco, a worldwide leader in consumer packaging, and replaces Joel Cohen Joel Cohen, (b. 1942) is an American musician specializing in early music repertoires. Since 1968 he has been the director of the Boston Camerata, generally considered to be the pre-eminent American early music ensemble. Cohen founded the Camerata Mediterranea in 1990.  who has resigned from the Company's Board for personal reasons. The number of directors remains the same at five.

The Consumer Packaging Group at MeadWestvaco provides packaging for most major entertainment companies including Disney, Fox, Warner Brothers, Sony and Nintendo among others.
