4GL School Solutions President Allison Duquette Assumes CEO Title; New Executive Management Roles Facilitate Continuing Growth and Expansion.

TOWSON, Md. -- 4GL School Solutions, the leading provider of comprehensive, special education management solutions to top-tier school districts across the United States, today announced that Allison Duquette, president and COO, will assume the role of CEO effective immediately. Current CEO and company founder Clark Easter will continue in his role as chairman of the board.

The changes come in response to 4GL's growing reputation as an industry leader and expert on increasing special education effectiveness through data management, and its rapid growth and success since Duquette took the reigns in Jan. 2003. Since joining 4GL, Duquette has overseen the launch of ENCORE!, the web-based version of the special education enterprise software product line, an improvement that has decreased clients' implementation cycles by over 50 percent.

"As 4GL's tactical leader, Allison has been instrumental in launching new technologies and positioning 4GL as a market leader," said Easter. The move also allows Easter to expand his role as chairman, answering the call from government, policy, and education organizations to share his extensive expertise in the use of data management and organizational best practices to impact the effectiveness of special education programs. Just this month, the National School Board Association published a book titled, "Technology for Students with Disabilities: A School Leader's Resource Guide," which includes a chapter co-authored by Easter on the topic of strategies for managing special education and other individualized instruction.

Easter has been a leader in software and online businesses since 1989, founding several companies in the online data, health, and educational areas. He has served as CEO of 4GL since the company was founded. Easter holds a B.A. degree from Harvard and an M.A. from the University of Santa Monica. In 2003, Easter was named a finalist by Ernst & Young of Maryland for their Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Prior to joining 4GL, Duquette held a number of executive positions at NCS Pearson, where she was responsible for many successful new product launches, managed the integration of several acquisitions, and directed its strategic planning process as president and general manager of NCS Pearson's $100 million K-12 enterprise administrative software business. Duquette holds a B.A. in business administration from the University of Arizona.
