HERNDON, Va. -- 4DK Technologies, Inc., will showcase its SuperConnectivity[TM] product suite, which enhances the wireless experience by interoperating applications and services and leveraging context to enable a wireless environment where everything works seamlessly and intelligently with everything else. 4DK and partners WellDoc(TM), PDV PDV Petroleos de Venezuela (Oil company)
PDV Productschap Diervoeder (Product Board Animal Feed, Netherlands)
PDV Prozessdatenverarbeitung
PDV Prune Dwarf Virus
PDV Portal-Drained Viscera
and others will demonstrate SuperConnectivity, including components SCout, the service platform, and SCamp, the device engine, at Booth 1359, Hall C4/C5, of the Developers' Pavilion, at CTIA Wireless 2008.

4DK will demonstrate how SCout works with WellDoc's diabetes management software Diabetes Management Software refers to software tools than run on personal computers and personal digital assistants to help persons with type 1 diabetes manage the data associated with:
  • test results from a glucose meter
  • diabetes logbooks
to create an unparalleled system for diabetes and lifestyle management. Patients can track food consumption and monitor caloric caloric /ca·lo·ric/ (kah-lor´ik) pertaining to heat or to calories.

and carbohydrate intake by simply using their voice. This simplified approach eliminates the need for tedious text entry of food items to record the data. 4DK interoperates WellDoc's solution with push-to-talk, speech-to-text and Web services (1) Loosely, any online service delivered over the Web. Such usage appears in articles from non-technical sources, but not in IT-oriented publications, because definition #2 below describes the correct use of the term.  to deliver enhanced user-friendly functionality from existing services.

4DK also will demonstrate how its SCamp device engine enables context sensitivity in the device, creating new services as a result. Using the example of SMS (1) (Storage Management System) Software used to routinely back up and archive files. See HSM.

(2) (Systems Management Server) Systems management software from Microsoft that runs on Windows NT Server.
delivery based on contextual information, 4DK will demonstrate that when a driver has his device connected to a hands-free system via BlueTooth, any time that an SMS is received, the device will automatically read it to the user. Once the BlueTooth is no longer in use, text messages will be delivered as usual.
