Yamaha Motor Corp., USA and its WaveRunner FX140 is the first PWC that meets California's 2002 emission standards. The engine is 80 percent cleaner and 85 percent quieter than current two-stroke engines.

``This is a win-win situation,'' said Ron Roberts of the California Air Resources Board California Air Resources Board (CARB) is the "clean air agency" of the state of California in the United States. It won't be the only PWC on display. Also showing, but unavailable for purchase in California, is Kawasaki's 1200 STX-R. It's a racing-inspired PWC but does not meet California emission standards.

Various sizes and shapes of craft for family, fishing and speed will be at the show. Among new lines, there's the Glastron DX 215 and DX 235. Also in attendance will be Bayliner, Larson, Maxum, Sea Ray, Sunseeker, Hallett, Eliminator and Cigarette.
